Loadmaster History

The 30th anniversary of Loadmaster Roof Deck Systems was significant to the building industry because of Loadmaster's engineering advancements, proven performance and unparalleled roofline design versatility.

Loadmaster is a complete roof deck system composed of a high tensile steel base with thermal insulation and high permormance Duraflex Mineral Board mechanically anchored to the steel sections to provide composite strength.

In 1974, Loadmaster became the first dry-installed steel roof deck assembly utilizing a built-up roof to pass the rigorous UL Class 90 wind-uplift test. In 1977, the system was tested and approved by Factory Mutual for Class 1 construction with 1-60 and 1-90 wind resistance ratings. In 1985, the system received UL hourly fire resistance ratings and to date has 156 ratings in various designs for 1, 1-1/2, 2 and 3 hour ratings.

Loadmaster may be today’s most efficient roof deck system in the commercial construction industry. Its users can attest that it saves time and money in the construction phase and in long-term durability of the roof membrane. Installations are performed by licensed, trained and financially responsible erectors across the nation who join with Loadmaster in offering the best warranty in the industry.
